Chapter 2

Julia POV

Standing in front of the door, I was still debating with myself if I had to do it or not, but I had already said yes to Raul, so I couldn’t possibly step back. I took a drink and drowned it down my throat in one go as the alcohol went inside my empty stomach, giving me a little courage to face those old hags in the room.

I knocked on the door and stepped inside, only to see that there wasn't an old hag, but my eyes met the impeccable silhouette of the man, sitting on the black leather sofa in the reddish light surrounded by the other four men.

“He is Mr Romeo Valentino. Your guest.” Raul said from behind me, making me frown isn’t he the same man I just met earlier? What's he doing here?

“Wasn’t he the new bouncer who started working here.” I thought a little aloud and the other man present in the room widened their eyes and Raul behind me was not different either.

“W-What are you saying Julia? He is an important guest to us. I am sorry sir, she is a new worker here and she doesn't know whom she is talking to.” Raul shouted skeptically. Making me frown at him. Why is he behaving so obedient? It's the first time I’ve seen him like this.

I glance at him. His piercing eyes, like shards of obsidian, glinted with a haunting allure. His tan skin glowing in the red light, a well-built body wearing a black shirt, sleeves rolled up revealing his muscular veiny arm.

“Pour me a glass of a drink!” his deep voice bordered on cold. I stood there sturbonly didn’t want to follow any of the orders given by him. But I froze when I saw him pull out a gun from his waist holster and put it on the table. I gulped. Memories of the past flood my mind, causing me to tremble ever so lightly.

I reluctantly went towards him. After pouring his drink I was about to walk out of the room. “I haven’t given you permission to leave the room yet….” he said. I looked at him, seeing as he nodded his head to his other man, making them leave the room. I am not a child to not know what he’s planning to do. And I cursed myself inwardly for agreeing with Raul.

He exudes an aura of power and danger, commanding attention without even trying. There was something familiar about them, a familiarity that sent a shiver down my spine.

“How about giving me a personal show?” He said drinking from the glass.

“I don’t do personal shows. I’ve already done my show now, will you excuse me?”

“What’s with the rush?”

“Because you’re making me uncomfortable.”

“I haven't even started anything yet to make you feel uncomfortable.”

“You don’t have to do anything, your presence is enough for that.” I said before I could even know what I said. I know I shouldn’t anger him but yes his presence is reminding me of someone whom I wanted to forget with all my might.

“Are you not feeling scared of me? I could shoot you for this rumbling mouth of yours.” His jaws clenched tight as she stood up from the couch walking in my direction. With each of his steps toward me I took each step far from him. That was until I bumped into the wall. The tension between us is thick. His hand supported the wall behind me caging me.

“Quite bold of you think that this would scare me.” I said but deep down I knew how much I was trembling with him near me.

“Oh feisty one.” he smirked. His lips curled upward.

“Do you know why you have been called in this room?” he tucked a strand of my hair behind my ears as his hand strolled from my face towards my breast giving it a squeeze eliciting a moan out of me. My eyes widened as he smirked, looking like he had conquered a fort.

“I asked you something beautiful…” he asked again as he dipped near my neck kissing it, running his tongue as if trying to find how I’ll taste.

“If you’re looking for someone to please you or bend to your order to satisfy your need. I would suggest you find someone else.” I answered him, closing my eyes enjoying the touch of his rough hand on me. As much as I don’t want to enjoy it, it’s making my body feel pleasure. He chuckled at my reaction. His audacity to laugh at me. But his deep laugh is more I wanted to listen and I was blaming the drink which I had earlier.

“That we would see in a minute whether you’re going to bend or not.” He whispered near my ears, licking the lobe, but that was enough for me to open my eyes wide. I looked at him with a terror-filled gaze.

I pushed him with great strength as he staggered back, hitting his legs on one of the tables behind him. The table tumbled down, and the glass shattered into pieces. But that was not what made me hyperventilate—a memory, no more like a nightmare, which is clouding my thoughts. My breadth has become uneven.

“Don’t you dare come near me you fuck…," I snarled at him, which was enough for him to stay rooted at his place. He looked at me more like he was mocking me, and it made me feel more irritated. I grabbed a glass and threw it in his direction. You can’t blame me for doing this. I did it in the past.

"Do this stunt again and I’ll make sure you regret it." he growled this time, the room echoing with his deep voice. He rushed towards me and pushed me against the nearest wall. I wince as the pain strikes my back. He caged me there, glaring at me.

"Do you know whom you’re talking to, swan? If someone else were in your place, she should be submissively obeying me instead of being a pain in the ass." He snapped at me.

“Then you should have called someone who was eager to be your bitch because I'm not going to listen to you.” I greeted every word. I tried to leave again but he was one of the strong bastards. And I think that flared his anger a little more because he was about to slap me but stopped in the mid way.
