Chapter 13

Alyssa sulked as she went to her bedroom. She had assured Lydia that she would round up her work before the end of the day. She groaned, wishing she could shift. If she could, she would shift into a wolf and run far away. There was still a lot she couldn't do yet for she was still a fledgling. She lay in bed and stared up at the ceiling. She was numb from listening to all the things that Lydia had said to her.

"He wants to reject us," Alyssa's wolf whispered.

"There's nothing we can do about it, Carrie. He doesn't like us, don't you get it? I don't want to come off as desperate." Alyssa said.

"We can do something. I have a feeling he likes us but he's bewildered. I don't like his girlfriend one bit, she sucks."

Alyssa sighed "That makes two of us. If he rejects us we'll leave. He's better off without me, he always has."
