Interrupted

If Ashlyn had any doubts previously, today clearly proved to her how her trying to cook was merely a recipe for disaster.

Not only did she char the beef and burn the butter, but the meat was stuck to the bottom of the pan. And when she tried to get it to set loose, it seemed that she used too much strength, and it flew off, landing on the floor of the living room.

Ashlyn's eyes widened at that, and she rushed towards the beef. She picked it up with bare hands and almost threw it off again due to how hot it was. She slapped the beef on the kitchen counter.

She wondered whether it would be fine to consume after she washed it. However, thinking that would be too much, she tossed it off to the trash can.

With barely any time on her hand, she started to cook another piece of beef. She turned on the fire high, so that it will be done fast. So that it didn't get stuck to the pan again, she added extra vegetable oil and butter.
