If there was anything I'd learned in business, it was that there always had to be a good story. That was exactly what I was going to start with.

“Six years ago,I was still with Viktor Reynolds. We met in college and we were college sweethearts, our relationship lasting past college. Back then I had nothing, but he made me feel like the happiest girl in the world.” Despite my words I spoke in an indifferent tone, as if I was talking about stocks instead of my past.

If looks could kill, I was sure Brienne would have had me cremated by now. I knew I was agitating her.

“I had nobody until he came, and so I was introduced to two of his best friends who became mine. I got familiar with them and for the first time in a long time, it felt like I had a family.”

“I trusted them with everything like a fool, unknown to the scheme they played against me.”

“Those two people are Brienne Harrison, Me Reynolds current fiancee and Geoffrey Wells. Both are here today.”
