10: The truth

Jaclyn’s eyes flutter in bed and looking around, she sees Ken is no longer on it with her. She wonders how long she’s been asleep and why Ken didn’t think to wake her. Her eyes strain a little, an effect of dream walking, but she rubbed them tenderly and pulled herself into a sitting position."

As she regains more consciousness, she can smell the aroma of pancake and beef coming from the kitchen and her stomach growl. She gets down from the bed and races downstairs to where the kitchen is. 

She finds Ken in a black singlet and a white apron tied to his neck. He’s standing before the drying pan with a bowl of red meat in it. She waltzes over to him, wrapping her arms around his midsections and feeling the muscles built up there. She pressed small kisses all over his arm and upper shoulder, and she felt him shudder against her in return.
