35: The guilt of doing nothing
"You're mad about India." he points out flatly.
I turn to him abruptly, my eyes wide and alert. "Can you blame me? After everything she's done, you chose her and placed her on our seat. I mean she's not even your date yet and you're already throwing your friends away. I wonder what you'll do after three months. It feels almost as if you forget what she did to you. The memory should be enough to keep you away from her."
He heaves a deep sigh and his head drop, "Jaclyn, it's not as simple as you make it seem."
"I have one question, did you accept her rejection after prom like you promised?"
I've never asked because I took him by his words when he said it, but now I need an answer.

Ken’s POV I knock on the door and after a few seconds later; it opens and India Lopez comes out in all her glory. She stands before me in a blue silk gown that hugs her curves in all the right places. A smile plaster on her face and my eyes light up to see her. I saw she looked displeased, perhaps even annoyed, but she masks it all up. She’s that good. Jaclyn has always had a thing for masking her emotions and only showed them around very few people.
