Alyssa's POV

Two Days Later.

It was past 3 PM in the afternoon, the weather was friendly and not too cold today. Lucas and I were walking hand-in-hand, admiring the streets and taking different pictures.

“The weather is soothing,” I muttered and I heard him humming in response.

The incident of the phone call had been forgotten. After that day, he has been trying to get close to me and it has gotten to a point that I couldn't avoid him.

“Lucas, I wanna ask you… ring ring,” his phone interrupted me and he released my hands.

I waited for him to receive his call before I continued with my question. He checked the caller and he paused, I took a few steps ahead of him already and turned to look at him.

He was clenching his jaw, he met my gaze and returned his phone back inside his pocket.

“Let's go,” he said and I nodded. I didn't plan on meddling, we hadn't taken up to ten steps when his phone began ringing again.
