Chapter 49: A Lie

ALLYSA'S POV

Long after Ivy left, I couldn't bring myself to leave the restaurant. Was she right? Should I accept this? I picked up my phone and realized I'd just had an argument with my talk buddies, mom and Ivy.

I got into my car and sped back home. If no one's gonna talk to me, I'd better rushed home. “You're back, should I set your dinner?” Benny asked.

“You can set it once my husband gets back, I'll be in my bedroom.”

As I walked up the stairs my mind kept drifting to my activities for today. What was I thinking getting into an argument with mom and Ivy?

I picked my phone and dialed Ivy's line, it rang for a while before she finally picked.

“Yeah, thought you'd never call.” She said into the phone.

“Alright I was wrong, but it's not a daily thing to accept you're falling for your arranged husband, it's delirious.”

“The more you keep thinking it's delirious, the more stupid it'd be, be nice, accept your feelings except you want that lady back in his life.”

“Do not say such Ivy.”
