However, when I was about to stab her skull and end her life through that, a familiar voice halted me from doing so.

"Xiomara..."

When I turned my back to confirm the sprouting suspicion in my heart, my lips parted instantly after seeing him bare and breathing alive in front of me.

"Herofus..." I whispered and my eyes almost drench with tears if I didn't stop myself from crying.

"Y-you're alive..."

He paces closer to me and I can clearly notice the rippling of his tears in the corner of his eyelids. There was a joy flickering in his orbs while looking at me without bothering to trouble himself from the aground shrouding us.

Before I knew it, he was already hugging me tightly while sobbing in my arms. I gaped at the thought that maybe he was so scared from this chaos resurrecting in a wink. And perhaps, he also thought that I'm dead, worst, one of those zombies hovering around.
