Chapter 23

I could hardly remember what took place after I put myself into a deep sleep. Yet the uncertainty was bugging me. I never felt this kind of lightheadedness as though I might pass out again any second.

I pushed my body to lift from laying but the unsteadiness of my balance and my muscles that are out of shape was a sense of disorientation of space that affected the range of my senses, making me woozy on the spot.

I could even say that a slight movement to leap out from the bed will make my surroundings spin. I can tell that I'll faint any moment if I'll try my luck to drag myself further.

"Don't move. You still need to recover your strength."

My whole body felt weak and exhausted and when I tilted my head to glance at him, my head throbbed.

"W-what happened before I passed out?" my hoarse voice denoted that I just awakened from my deep slumber. It was slightly raspy and crooked.
