Mom arrived at the hospital, panting. Deep worry was all over her face.
“What happened? Are you okay?” Mom asked worriedly.
It’s a long drive from the heart of the city. And seeing her in her working uniform, I couldn’t imagine she left her work just to come here.
“I’m fine, Mom. It’s just a stomach.” I felt so embarrassed. I was sent to the hospital for having a stupid stomach upset. “You should have not come. I’m really fine and it’s nothing serious.”
“How can I not come? Having a stomach upset that makes you faint isn’t just nothing.”
I sighed as she checked me. Railey suddenly entered, holding a paper bag of take-out food.
“Oh, Railey… I mean, young master. I heard you are the one who brought Vivienne here to the hospital. Thank you so much!”
Railey smiled and nodded. “It’s nothing, Mrs. Alfonso. Anyone will do that.” He put down the paper bag on the side table. “
