Chapter 15

Amelia's POV

We were sitting by the beach on sand quite far from the resort. I could feel Nathan's gaze on me but I kept my eyes fixed on the sea.

I really couldn't believe I would give in like this and let him kiss me and not just that but I kissed him back too.

Not that I was regretting but still I felt angry. Angry at myself for not being able to get myself together and letting my obstinate mind take control of my body.

The chain of my thought got broken when Nathan spoke up, "Thank you for trusting me, Amelia."

Without bothering to look at him, I spoke up, "You are getting married in a few days, Nathan. What about that?"

He didn't answer anything nor did I get to say something again for a moment though I felt his gaze on me. Then he spoke up, "Look at me."

When I didn't do that, he held me by my forearms. I looked at him as he spoke up, "You really think, this marriage will happen?"
