Just Think About It

“What are you doing here, Derek?”

I was surprised to see him. I never thought I would see him again, and yet here he was in front of the Sanchez mansion asking for me.

“I wanted to see you again.”

I turned to the security guard, “I know him. You can let him in.”

He nodded, while Derek drove his car in. When I received a call that I had a visitor, I thought it was my mother. She had insisted on not visiting the mansion until I fully got married to Kingston. Sometimes, I found it difficult to understand her moral values. I was shocked when the guard said it was a man, and it was Derek.

I sat quickly beside him in his car, until he packed in front of the fountain. “I had no idea you are coming to visit me.”

He smiled, “I wanted to surprise you.”

What was with everyone trying to surprise me?

“How did you know where I live?”

He chuckled, “Come on, Luisa. You are famous. It will be wrong if I don’t know where you live.”

As we moved into the sitting room, I could feel most of the m
