Kathleen pov

I knocked on the door before opening it. Jason and Derek were having a conversation but immediately I entered the office, Jason stopped talking.

"Mr knight." I called gently.

"Hey cousin." Ariel called and went to sit at the couch.

I walked to his desk. "You are having an interview with the reporters and after lunch, you would be going for the project at Los Angeles."

"You sure are a busy guy." Ariel said.

Jason tossed a glare at Ariel.

"Derek you should go stand in place of me." Jason finally spoke out.

"What? Why me?" Derek asked.

"I have more work to do here at the office rather than going for the interview or project sight seeing." Jason replied annoyingly.

"I also have work to do in my office." Derek pointed out.

"Of you both aren't ready to get your ass out of this company then I should go as a proxy." Ariel suggested.

"No you're not." Jason and Derek said at the same time.

It was like they declined the idea for her own safety.

What was going on here?

"I have told y
