Shortly after, Evelyn discovered a collection of medications for Jane.

Both topically and orally.

Jane accepted them with a bit of confusion, as anyone not in the know would have assumed she was gravely injured.

Abruptly, Evelyn inquired, "Madam, is your cheek a bit swollen?"

Jane touched the left side of her face, recollecting the forceful slap Jackson had struck her with earlier; it was quite severe.

"My wisdom teeth are slightly inflamed, but it's nothing to worry about." Jane grinned and ascended the stairs.

Upon arriving in her room, Jane took a shower before tending to her feet.

She had to prick the blisters on her feet with a needle, and that was when she realized she had forgotten to request one from Evelyn earlier.

She picked up her phone, dialed Evelyn, and asked her to send over a needle.

In no time, she heard a knock at the door.

She hobbled over on a cotton swab and opened the door.

The instant she opened it, she saw Damien Wolfe standing at the entrance in a nightgown, hi
