Chapter 31: The rest of the truth

"I want you to release me right now," Lisa said impatiently, making her request clear. "Both of you should know that Daisy and I have no relationship whatsoever."

"Don't spout nonsense like that; don't try to avoid responsibility," the guy responded, displaying his disbelief. "Now, either you pay up or I'll kill your Older sister. Choose, if you..."

"What I'm saying is true. Please believe me," Lisa interrupted firmly. "We have no blood relations, so I have no reason to pay to save her. It doesn't make any sense at all. I'm not crazy either. If Daisy has done something wrong, punish her, but don't involve an innocent person like me."

"I ask you, you keep insisting that there's no blood relation between you two, so why would Daisy have to pay for your unreasonable demands? Just out of her kindness? That's hard to believe. No one in this world is willing to unconditionally sacrifice for someone else. Are you trying to deceive me? It's not that easy."
