Property discussion ended and Eleanor was the first one to leave the room. Whatever terms Kayden had mentioned at the end was above her head. Needless to say, she didn’t need his money. Only because she was his wife didn’t mean she should inherit his 50% of property and assets.

But arguing with him now was baseless. She decided to talk to him and force him to discard her name from that agreement later. When she came out, she almost bumped with Jane Doe who was equally stunned for almost being caught eavesdropping.

The atmosphere in the room tensed as Eleanor's gaze pierced through Jane Doe's veil of hair. "Sorry... Your highness..." Jane murmured, bowing deeply.

Eleanor, though not one for unnecessary formality, couldn't shake the feeling that this maid was different from the usual household staff. "You... you're the new caretaker for grandma, aren't you?" she inquired, studying Jane intently.

Jane nodded solemnly, confirming Eleanor's suspicion. "Yes, your highness."
