CHAPTER 1

Rain

Common common I have to hurry! I just have to stop him! Before it's too late I need to stop the guy!

please god please I don't wanna be late!

finally, I was able to see the car I was looking for I quickly intersected it and got down

and gestured for the persons in the car to get down as well!

"no Mama Papa you don't need to get down I'll handle this, " the guy whose name is Alec I think well who cares

he comes to me and asks me my problem

"you really should not go to that house the family is not so good and the girl Rain you are going to see is ugly I mean like really ugly and she is fat as well and not even sweet to compensate  "

I said

"Who are you and why are you telling me all this ? " said a bit flustered and confused Alec

"I am just your well wisher I have known Rain all my life trust me you don't wanna marry her," I said trying my best to look honest

"Look missy don't know who you are and I don't have time for this," he said

oh god he is more difficult than the rest of them

think think think rain you cannot let him come to your house

"well okay if you wanna go don't later whine that nobody warned you" I feigned disinterest and was about to go just so he doubt I just needed the doubt

"huh you are weird but beautiful"

typical boys  I thought rolling my eyes like common you are going to see someone but still cannot resist

"oh well thanks," I said with a little wave and a smile

"soo why were you warning me against Ms. Rain" he asked

"Just consider it my nobility," I said and made my escape

coz I was sure the guy would have said something that would have even reduced more respect for his series which is zero anyway but it shouldn't go into the negative that is just sad!

when I reached home my mom opened the door

"where did you go I told you a guy was coming to see you, you should have been getting ready rather than roaming like that "  my mom huffed

"and how many times I told you I don't care !" I threw back then went into my room closing the door

After half an hour my friend Hope arrived

"soo this time what did you say to scare him off rain ?" she asked with a smirk

I kept my most innocent face on and replied

"What are you talking about Hope I am most innocent," I said

"oh please I just don't understand why won't you give any guy at least 1 chance no guy has dated you because you seem so unapproachable that they don't even have the guts to ask and when your parents are arranging your marriage still you are scaring them off!"

"oh common hope! you know why you know better than anyone why !!! ill never marry !!"

"you know rain you are crazy and someday some crazy guy will come and make you realize not all guys are bad"

"Yeah, sure! and someday pigs will fly" I said with a flick of my hair

Rain

I had gone to my workplace I am a well-qualified finance executive with quite good pay I don't know why I still live in my parent's house who have always made me feel like a second in every damn thing

uhu back to the present common now concentrate on work

"hey rain what's your plan for tonight ?" asked Jack

"nothing special " I replied.. I just hope he is not going where I think he is going with this conversation

"I was wondering if you know you will come to a movie with me ?" he asked scratching his hair a little

I think he thought that was cute and I thought maybe he had lies in his hair!

"rain so what do you think can we go?" he asked again

like seriously dude take a hint  *sigh*.

"Oh I am so sorry Jack I just remembered I have a very important appointment" I lied

"What appointment?" he asked

oh god this dude seriously can't take a hint!

"appointment to stay away from assholes?!" I said with a flick of my hair and stormed out of the office like oh god! Men can't understand when to stop!

I entered my home, oops my parent's home and there was my didi and jiju sitting with some guy his parents, and my parents, and from the looks of it they were looking very cozy

oh god now what! I quickly made my beeline to my room I dont want to create a scene because according to my mother, I am best at creating drama where my sister is concerned and I don't want to rehash the same argument

with that in mind I quietly tried to tip toe towards my room to not attract unwanted attention! but when was my life so simple

"Rain come here say hello to Mr. Jay goyanka your future husband" I heard my father's voice and I was rooted to my spot

husband. what husband? whose husband? didi is already married, right? did he say, my future husband?

I was shocked! would be the understatement of the decade

"Rain are you alright, say something?" I heard my mother's "concerned " voice and that was the final straw

I fell on the floor

and

busted out laughing

"Haha, that was so funny for a second there I was like how my "so-called family " lost its marbles," I said in between laughing while air quoting so-called family.

like common only so much a girl could take I slowly wiped the tears from the corner of my eyes due to laughing so hard

I was met by stunned faces,

but did I care? no!

I was about to leave I don't wanna be a part of whatever this is anymore

"Is this any way to talk in front of your parents and husband rain?" said the guy who was sitting in between two elderly people

did he just refer to himself as my husband ? and did he just castigate me? what the fuck?
