Chapter twenty four

The enticing aroma of various dishes filled the air, intensifying my hunger. Colorful banners displayed images of delicious meals, tempting us to choose.

I was about to take money from my wallet when he suddenly handed the vendor some cash. "I got it... You just eat whatever you like," he said.

I want to protest, but I know I'd still lose. Kalel can be quite stubborn at times. I even lost to him in our past arguments.

We took a seat at a small table. He excused himself to buy some soft drinks, leaving me alone, and I began to eat.

Kalel placed the soft drinks beside me before sitting across from me. We sat in silence, eating, while watching the people around us.
