Katie's POV

The son of the beast tag soon made sense.

At first all I saw was the view of a man holding on to the thick bar rods, then the red markings started to glow in the night again. The ground began to vibrate, trembling beneath our feet. If I didn't know better, I would have thought it was a level one earthquake. We witnessed it happen, the cracking of the side walls where the hinges disappeared into the concrete. Killian groaned out, sounding like he was going through intense pain until he finally let go of the bar.

He took a step back from it.

“You know if this completely falls off, we are not only going to be able to go through but creatures from within would be able to come out too, right?” Roman said to Killian whose head was still faced down and his sleeves rolled up.

“Yeah…” He sighed. “That is the least of my worries right now. We have a few hours till they realize the protection is gone. I would let them worry about it. Let's go.” His voice is weak.
