Katie's POV

“Well since we are cool, it's about time I tell you that I'm a Witch,” Roman announced with his chest pumped up and a look of defiance on his face, almost like he was daring me to say otherwise.

I found it hard to swallow.

Shedrack must have sensed the growing tension and imputed himself between us, stretching his hands out to me. “You can't tell anyone, Katie…” He turned to Roman.

“Really?! You really thought this was a good time to tell her about that!!” He snapped at him. I guess it was more of a caution because Roman just rolled his eyes at him.

“She wanted to know us and who we are for real for real, right?” He asked me, his eyes digging deep beneath mine it was like he could see through my skin.

“Uh…I'm mean—bro, that wasn't something I was expecting to hear anytime soon on Red Moon pack grounds. Not with what happened—”
