Feeling groggy

I woke up feeling groggy, like someone had hit me with a baseball bat. I rubbed my head checking if I had a bump or something that could make me feel so bad, but instead, I was greeted with a warm smile and several locks of blonde hair hanging in front of my eyes, belonging to the girl lying next to me.

“Hey, sleepy head, I thought you would never wake.” Nora. She joined me in rubbing my head, like a caring mother after their child hurt themselves on the playground. As she tentatively attended to me, I could see the love and care in her eyes.

“I feel rough. I’ve either got a really bad hangover, or someone ha—” I didn’t finish my last words as I made a mad dash to be sick.

I just made it. I wiped my face, and as I looked up into the mirror, I nearly jumped out of my skin. I looked like something from a horror movie. My pale and gaunt face made me appear like I had not eaten for weeks, which was not true, judging by the contents of what I just disposed of in the toilet. I kept touchin
