Chapter 42 Lucian's Deal with the Devil

Lucifer grabbed my hand and we vanished, reappearing in a modern-style home. My infant son was nestled in my curved elbow sucking at my pinky. I grinned down at my child whose blue eyes gazed up at me. Balancing on my single leg I frowned at the devil.

"Accompany me to my office and I will write up the contract then after that you can obtain your lower leg," he grinned with a glint in his eyes. I was feeling uncomfortable suddenly and gave him a slight smile that didn't reach my eyes.

I glanced at the sculptures of modern art he had displayed around. When Lucifer started to head off I rolled my eyes as he turned, seeing me still standing there. I waved my empty hand at my leg and he grinned.
