'He is owing us fifty thousand dollars, and we are not going to let him off if he doesn't pay' They had said to me when I asked the reason why they did that to my brother. They were going to kill him if I had not shown up there to help him.

They didn't allow me to take him away even when he was bleeding, until Mr. Miles settled the bill.

Mr. Miles took Jake out of the casino and his car. He drove us to the hospital afterward.

We arrived at the hospital at past 9pm, and Jake was admitted immediately.

"You need to wait here, Ms. We'll take it from here," One of the nurses said to me when I tried to go into the ward with them, so I waited outside with Mr. Miles.

"You need to calm down, Ms," Mr. Miles said to me, and I nodded.

"You should sit down and get some rest. Do you need something? How about a bottle of water?" He asked me, but I just buried my face between my palms.
