Today Alex decided that we would go hiking and then camp at the top of the mountain and spend our last day of the trip there.

The mountain was not particularly tall or impressive, but I'd never hiked one before. As such, I was quite excited about the whole thing.

We got up at the crack of dawn and made some simple breakfast. After packing up our bags, we set off.

We started out following a dirt path that ran parallel to the road, but before long we were making our own way straight up the side of the mountain.

We weren't in any particular rush, and there was no end goal or objective, so it was pretty enjoyable. There were no other people around, either.

" As a child, I have always wanted to do the things other children did, but I was never able to." I said, taking a memory lane down the ladder.

" Why is that?" Alex asked, seemingly curious.

" Now that I think about it, my parents have always been extra careful with me. One time, we went playing deep into the woods and we were attacked.
