FOR the second time in a day if she counted the early hours of the morning she walked away from him with her heart pounding.

Her heart fluttered with belief, in a way she had expected the total worse from him when he had caught her but to her greatest shock he had been gentle.

This life she had been born into might have been full of ups and downs but it was transparent.

She had seen the darkness in her life and it had been the only candid version of her life that mattered and was more real.

She laid on her bed and drifted into sleep, the thought of that day flickering through her mind.
