Fiona's POV

The sunset dawned on us as I shakily stood up, suppressing the feeling of anxiety that had suddenly washed over me. Antonio sat still, crossing his legs and taking a cigarette out.

"It's been a long time," he finally said. "You should take a seat; this is the best place those sneaky paparazzi won't get a glimpse of you."

I obeyed, sitting as quietly as I stood up. "I thought you left the country after you were adopted."

"Yes, taken to Spain, lived a different life, but someone called me back," he smiled, inhaling the smoke that emanated from the cigarette.

I swallowed the saliva that had formed in my mouth, moving closer to him. "Who?"

"You," he answered briefly. "I can't believe you want to go on with that silly plan of yours, Gabriella."

"Don't call me that," I warned. "You wouldn't know anything if you didn't eavesdrop on my conversation with Davis that day."

"It was an orphanage home. How do you expect kids not to go to the playground?" he laughed. "You have to stop."
