Declan’s POV

I found myself face to face with the rogue warrior, who happened to be a young man, but experienced in battle from his hard features. His eyes filled with defiance despite his situation.

Seeing he would not mention a thing about who sent them, “What’s your name?” I demanded sharply, attempting to take a different approach.

The warrior remained silent, his jaw clenched in stubborn refusal to cooperate. But I was not deterred. I knew how to break through his defenses, to extract the information we needed to protect our pack.

“Listen to me,” I said firmly, locking eyes with the warrior. “You can make this easy on yourself, or you can make it hard. Either way, we will get the information we need.”

But before I could continue, Caden stepped forward, his expression serious. “Alpha, perhaps we should take a different approach,” he whispered to me, his voice calm and measured.

I regarded him with surprise, curious to hear his thoughts on the matter. “And what approach
