My eyes remained fixed on my phone screen, the soft glow illuminating my face in the dark room.

For starters, I couldn't believe his dad was cool with our relationship. Something in me suspected that he was lying because why would his dad ever accept a Lycan in the first place?

I ran a hand through my hair and groaned loudly, not knowing what to think. Most of my roommates were asleep, their snores filling the air.

My forbidden love for Vlad had its consequences. He was more carefree than me, and if his dad truly accepted me, then it meant that the problem was not from the vampires but from us, the Lycans.
