A loud bang echoed through the room as a bullet tore through the wall, narrowly missing Alberto's ear. His heart raced, adrenaline surging through his veins. The close call made him freeze, his eyes wide with shock.

Sonia stood there, her hands trembling, the gun still in her grip. The memories of their past flooded her mind, causing conflicting emotions to stir within her. Deep down, she wanted to hurt him, to make him feel the same pain he had inflicted upon her. But something held her back.

As Sonia looked at Alberto, she couldn't ignore the remains of love that lingered in her heart. Despite the hurt he had caused, there was a part of her that still cared for him. Conflicted, she turned away, her footsteps echoing as she walked away from the scene.

Alberto, who had believed that the gunshot marked the end of his life, slowly opened his eyes. Astonished, he realized that Sonia had intentionally missed. In that moment, he understood that this wasn't over; she had spared him for a re
