First Punishment

Merrick's smile turned devilish as he gazed at Nora. "So, Nora, what do you say? Will you take the offer?"

Nora's heart leaped with excitement, and she nodded eagerly, her mind buzzing with the possibilities this new role would bring. "Yes, Sir. I'll take it!"

As Nora was lost in her thoughts, Merrick's voice interrupted her reverie. "Great! Your first task as my executive assistant starts now. Head down the hall to the store room. Everything you need for the job is there. I need you to organize and upload all the files from the past 10 years into our system. You should be able to do at least three years' worth of files in a day."

Nora's eyes widened with shock, but she quickly composed herself and nodded, determined to prove herself in this new role.

Merrick's mind raced with thoughts of his own amusement as he watched Nora stand up in his office. "That's your first punishment for not recognizing me," he chuckled to himself, his devilish smile widening.
