Chapter 25| Commanding the Alpha

Astrid’s/Veronica’s POV

I was busy cleaning the public restroom of the packhouse, but I stopped when I heard screams and cries outside.

My heart pounded hard due to nervousness, and I quickly got out of the restroom. And there, I saw people running. I could see far away in my distance, there is a bright orange-yellow light and dark smoke in the forest.

“Veronica!!!”

My attention shifted to someone who called my name then I saw Clara, quickly running to approach my direction.

“Clara, what is happening?” I couldn’t help but ask as I looked at the people running, heading to the forest.

“I don’t know either. Let’s see,” she said and held my right wrist. She started dragging me away from the restroom.

Then, I suddenly remembered my task. I was not done cleaning the restroom yet, and I don’t want to get punished for not doing it on time. Plus, I was trying so hard to not see the Alpha face to face. I didn’t want to see him yet. I don’t know how to react after I saw him making out with a she
