Bonds and promises

If she had thought he was willing to let her leave, then she was highly mistaken. Draven had other plans in mind for the little minx. He eagerly awaited, anticipating her moves and clearly enjoying her suffer.

She reeled forward on her feet, swinging the blade gracefully through the air, she lunged at him, what had happened next was a total blur.

In a swift he'd shrugged the blades out of her hands, had her back to the wall with his cold pale fingers wrapping itself firmly around her neck. Nyx gasped at the intrusion she fought, struggling to break free from his grasp.

"what are you... what are you doing?" She rasped.

He hummed a melodic tone before his icy wet tongue darted out to lick behind her ears, earning a shudder from her then she stopped to move. "amazing, isn't it? What tricks the bond plays with the mind. A moment ago, you would kill to be out of my grasp, now, now bug, don't you just feel the need to have me touch you?" His cold breath fanned against her neck, intensifying whatever she felt when his fangs peeked through and he grazed them against her shoulders, pressing at her skin but not enough to draw blood.

A sound akin to a whine slid her lips she needed contact, craved his body against hers, it frightened her she had to wonder if it was truly a bond, his bite or whatever godforsaken thing he'd given her.

His hand trailed the hem of the robe she had on, slid through it, his fingers outlined her thighs in a way that made her breath hitch in her throat she almost panted when he nibbled at the spot he'd drank from her.

Draven drawled seductively, "but you'll never know, never know the things I can make you feel. Never feel my body against yours. You know why?" He sucked on her skin again..

Nyx had almost turned to mush where she stood, she could feel her belly tightening from a sensation, felt heat creep through every part of her body she shook her head.

" I'll make your life a living hell and I'll enjoy every bit of it, you would beg me for death. Soon my dear, you'll learn death is a far more better punishment than what is to befall you." he chuckled darkly, " be glad I'm even considering you as a pet. Now, be a good little girl and go change into the clothes I have picked out for you. Don't forget, you still need the antidote."

He shrugged her aside, his brooding gaze hardening into a scowl Nyx turned to face him, too stunned to speak. Regarding her once more with a look of disdain, he walked out, slamming the door behind her.

When he'd left, the weight of his words suddenly washed upon her like she'd just slid out of compulsion. His voice, his words, his touch did things to her, things she'd never thought possible it scared her. She sagged against the wall, not noticing the warm liquid that rolled down her face when a sob broke trough her lips.

The door creaked open and she hurriedly wiped her face, sniffling when the figure approached. Nyx gazed at the girl she'd recalled was called Zurie.

"Lord Draven wants you ready before sundown."

Nyx nodded in exhaustion.

The brunette continued to stare at her as if trying to read her, then she moved closer. Her hand instinctively darted out to hold Nyx, earning a bewildered sound from her.

"Your hands, it's warm." Nyx noticed the warmth in her cheeks too, noticing her skin had signs of blood flowing through her. "youre..human?"

Zurie nodded. "half human half vampire."

"that's not possible!"

Zurie merely flashed her set of perfectly white teeth, "it is possible. But rare. There's a term for it here, it's called a dhampire."

Nyx had thought vampires could never procreate with humans. She wondered how a dhampire, like she'd called it came into existence she had to ask. "how? They hate us."

She nodded in approval, "they do. But, my father claims they were in love. He and my mother that is."

"Is she here too?"

"No. He killed her when the court objected to their union," she replied nonchalantly.

She groaned in frustration. "he's going to kill me then."

Zurie studied the strange girl for a while, wondering what it was about her that bound her to the tyrant vampire. If anything, Draven would enjoy ruining and damning her soul to hell for all eternity.

"He won't."

"he will. Don't lie to me."

"Not if you do what he says. Look, I get it, you're a badass hunter and something in you is telling you to defy him cause you think you can take on him yourself. But you can't. You don't know who Lord Draven is, you don't mess with a vampire like him. If he asks you to sit, you sit. That's the only way to keep you alive. If you want to live that is. But I don't think you do. You share a bond, if I were you, I'd use it to my advantage."

Draven walked down the hallway to the other end of the court, he'd waited. Waited for centuries to find his ‘she’ and somehow, the matchmaker thought it best to pair him up with a puny human. He recalled the way she squirmed in his hand, so fragile but yet, so stubborn.

He stifled a groan when the memories of the sound she'd made flooded his mind and for some odd reasons he'd wanted to hear them again. His curiosity piqued when images of her squirming beneath him at his mercy played over and over in his head. He was hooked, that was certain.

He craved her cries of ecstasy, desired to know how good she felt beneath him, craved to hear her call his name when she peaked from pleasure, ‘Draven'. ‘Draven, please'. He'd wanted nothing more than to hear her say those words.

Slapping some sense of sanity into himself he cursed the moment he decided to get rid of the hunter who was now a thorn in his flesh. Maybe,. Just maybe if he hadn't gone out that day, he could have beared the pain of having to live with no ‘she’ than knowing she was his sworn enemy.

He shrugged the door to his room open, settling into the leathered victorian sofa he rubbed at his temples. Clicking the little trinket box on the table open, reaching for the nicely wrapped stash that held a ring bearing his family's insignia. A large ‘B' sat nicely atop the diamond encrusted ring, a gift from his mother to his bride.

From across the hall, he could hear the loud thumping of her heart against her chest his fangs throbbed painfully in his mouth. He remembered how good her blood had tasted; something about hunters having a different kind of blood that could get a vampire high or experience euphoria.

Distracted, he hadn't noticed the door to his room creaking open a voluptuous blonde haired vampiress strutted in. pushing the door shut she leaned against it.

“You seem distant.”

Jolting him out of his train of thoughts he hurriedly pushed the ring back into the trinket, clicking it shut before his gaze lingered on the female in his room. She batted her lashes at him, her tongue darting out to wet her plum lips. The see through dress she had on did nothing to hide her fully round bosom.

“forgive me, Drusilla." He spoke.

“what distubs you? Share your burdens with me my lord." Slowly she shrugged the robe off, taking slow calculated strides towards him.

Draven watched as she neared, fully unclad he bit back a groan. She'd been fitting for him, if anything, she should have been his ‘she’. Knowing him more than anyone else in the court, Drusilla could sense when he was worried, tired or just needed a break. She alone could have been right for him.

His fingers instinctively gripped the arm rest, his claws digging into it he exhaled harshly enjoying every part of her tease.

He noticed for the first time, her face marred with lines of worry, she was as disturbed as he was. Drusilla swayed her hips in a sensuous manner, drawing out her approach she halted when she neared him.

“i've found my '‘she’."

“so I've heard. Do you plan to take her? Do I still have access to you my lord? or do I have to start competing with a mere mortal?”

Draven growled when she eased herself unto his thighs, straddling him. His tongue languidly licked against her lips but she was unmoving, not reciprocating his kisses.

He withdrew, cupping her cheeks, his eyes burning into hers. “you need not compete with her. I can never take a human to be queen."

“do you say this because she's human? Would you have said this if she were a vampire?” her fingers played with the buttons on his shirt, working through them one at a time.

“if it makes you any better, I'll have her sent to the barn.” he said, ignoring her latter question.

Drusilla smiled, now she'd claim the vampire king as hers for the rest of eternity.
