Chapter 103

Chris had no idea how long Kathryn had this fever. He tried feeding her medicine several times. The one time she actually swallowed it, she threw up later!

After all that effort, the living room was a mess. When he consulted the doctor, he said it was best if Chris tried cooling her down without using the medicine.

Chris' expression darkened as he watched the feverish Kathryn on the couch. He smacked his palm against his forehead because he almost regretted marrying her.

She looked so energetic in the past. He never would have guessed she was this physically weak. Why was her health failing so much?

"Should I take her to the hospital?"

"Usually, fevers don't require hospitalization if the patients can cool themselves down. Besides, IV fluids aren't very good for the body," the doctor advised.

He was implying that Chris should try cooling Kathryn down first.

"Alright, got it!" Chris said frustratedly, then hung up. Silence ensued.
