The thought crossed Tally's mind if this was God's punishment for deceiving Chris. Though, they'd never wished for this outcome.

Tally hurriedly pulled out her phone to call Kathryn. Then she remembered Kathryn was in Chris' car, so she dropped that idea.

She wanted to text Kathryn, but she was afraid to because of the previous incident in the office.

She wondered what to do. Tally grew anxious, as if she had ants in her pants. She could only pray that Chris wouldn't look at the report.

Meanwhile, Kathryn sat stiffly beside Chris in the car.

"Are you feeling any better?" he asked Kathryn while handling the files on his laptop.

"Yeah. Much better!"

Chris glanced at her from the corner of his eye. "Did the doctor not prescribe any medicine?"

She had nothing in her hands. It was obvious that no medication had been prescribed.

Kathryn's heart skipped a beat. She realized with dismay that the doctor had mentioned the fetus' excellent health. Hence, no medication was needed.
