The Albert family appeared to be in complete disarray then. Chris didn't even bother to check on Franco, who was still in the hospital.

He knew exactly what Krista had up her sleeve. Yet, Krista might not know everything on his end.

For instance, Claude was the owner of the Clusia restaurant on the surface. But he also operated as Chris' private investigator in secret. He had been fully aware of Krista's covert actions over the years.

He looked at Kathryn's nervous expression and said to Claude, "Go back to what you were doing."

"Alright." Claude nodded and left.

Chris placed a piece of chicken on Kathryn's plate and said, "The food here tastes good. Try some."

She nodded but didn't touch the food. She was apprehensive about eating. She still remembered how she felt after having that plate of spaghetti in the morning.

"What if I felt nauseous during the meal? Wouldn't that give everything away?" Kathryn's heart raced at that thought.
