Not leaving

The car came to a sudden halt, causing Irene's face to crash into Theodore's hard chest. She immediately pulled her head back, trying to sit straight, but Theodore's hands in her hair prevented her from doing so. He didn't want to show her that he cared, but seeing her tear-stained face stirred a whirlwind of emotions in his heart.

Unable to resist, he held her closer, her face buried in his chest, as if trying to calm his own racing heart. Maybe he just didn't want to see her cry. It was better for her to relax first before he let her go.

"You're so mean," Irene hiccuped, attempting to move away from his chest, but his hand kept her in place, making the situation even more awkward for her.

"Shhhh! Don't cry. You don't look good with tears," Theodore awkwardly caressed her head. He had never been good at comforting women, especially not when they were crying. It was unfamiliar territory for him.
