Revenge

My breath hitched as I recalled the events of that night. It seemed like my subtle rejection had an unpleasant effect on his heart. Whenever I tried to get close to Axe, he always avoided me. I could tell he was back in a prolonged bad mood. His time was always spent working, leaving early in the morning and returning late at night. The cycle was like that for two days. I didn't even get a chance to greet him with 'good morning or good night' 'have you eaten or not'. Even on his day off yesterday, he was busy in his office all day.

Didn't he realize his attitude made me feel bad.

"Miss, the master asks you to the backyard."

I was jolted by Edward's heavy voice coming from behind. I immediately turned my head, and sure enough-Edward was already standing there.

"What for, Ed?" I asked curiously. Didn't Axe not want to talk to me?

"Just come along, Miss."

I rolled my eyes lazily. I hope Axe doesn't do anything crazy.
