Gordon was halfway through a game with his online friends when Charlene from school walked into the internet cafe. He'd never seen her there before in all his years of hanging out there after school. Jenna felt awkward walking into the kitchen. She found Kai sitting at the table, and almost walked straight back out again--her cheeks burning as she remembered the events of the previous night.When Kai glanced up and smiled, Jenna realised he did not share her feelings of shyness. Jenna froze. This girl was crazy. Instinctively she shuffled backwards, moving away from the girl until her back hit the wall.The basins above her head provided little cover and she had nothing to use as a shield. Jenna, as usual, was not paying any attention to her lesson. Instead, she scrolled through funny videos, being careful to keep the sound at a minimum and not to laugh out loud.The ding of a message made her jump, dropping the phone.It skittered across the hard flooring, landing in the middle of the aisle.
