The more Clara explained to Henry. The more it ached his heart. It was obvious from his silence, but he didn’t give up.

“What do you mean? Remember the past, Clara.” When Henry was still trying to say some more words, Alex snatched the phone from Clara.

“Look here. Mr. Brown or whatever you are. This would be the last time you would be communicating with my wife.” Alex warned.

Alex wanted to end the call when Henry began to say something. So he listened to what he was saying.

“Alex Peters. I let you all this while because I thought I was guilty. But now that I have the evidence, I will claim what is mine.”

“Why not let her make the choice.” Alex retaliated.

“Then don’t force her to stop talking to me. The only thing I need is time. I will convince Clara to fall in love with me.”

The way Henry was so confident annoyed the hell out of Alex. He can’t believe that it was him that Henry spoke to this way.

What gave him the guts to? He gave him the benefit of thought thinking he wanted goo
