The next day, Alex woke up in Jane’s apartment. He had completely passed out.

He remembered calling someone the previous night, yet, he thought he had called Andrew. He never knew it was Jane he called.

“Alex, you are up. Top of the morning.” She greeted.

But Alex didn’t say anything to her. He had just remembered his family problems and all that he was going through.

“It would be best if you do not say a word to me.”

Right from time, Jane had always been temperamental. She doesn’t know how to handle the atmosphere sometimes and how to control herself.

“Why? Why would I not say a word to you?” She asked but Alex ignored her.

“Do you know how late at night it was when you called me? Do you know how I drove on the highway to come pick you up?”

“Do you know how I contemplated between taking you home or bringing you here? I don’t know what happened and why you are being this way. But at least, be appreciative.”
