Clara tapped on her screen again to be sure. She might not have gone to university due to lack of funds but she finished with an excellent grade in high school.

What was this? Knowing some of the tech basics, she discovered that someone was manipulating the stock growth from the inside.

It wasn't truly going down but being controlled by an insider. Who was that person? A staff or someone else.

“Clara, I have been calling you for some minutes now.”

Clara quickly dropped the iPad and darted to the door to see Alex, who was standing.

“I’m sorry. I didn't hear that, I was engrossed with something.”

“It’s fine,” Alex mumbled.

They both were silent for some time. Ever since Clara realized what the problem was, she never tried to nettle him.

“Let’s have breakfast together with mum.”

Clara agreed. Alex must be feeling so lonely but she doesn't know how to act around him. If she acts so pitiful, Alex would suspect she's aware. If she acts nonchalantly, he might assume she doesn't care.
