Chapter 42

Alex was rounding up in his office. He kept looking at his time to make sure he got back on time. He mustn't let Clara feel dejected or abandoned.

With his face still covered, the strange young man left the room after injecting the drug into Mrs. Roberts.

“Thank you,” Clara muttered but the young man had just ignored her and only nodded his head and left.

He obviously avoided eye contact and was looking down, though smoothly without any suspicions.

After Clara sat close to her mum, she seemed asleep now and was resting. She can't wait for her mum to be finally fine. The memories of how her mum tried to defend her back there in Alex’s house reminded her of all she had lacked.
