Alex exhaled. All he had been taking note of, was his wife's facial expression. She seemed to be in dire need of the money.

“If I give you fifty million, is that going to solve everything?” Alex queried her. He wanted her to sort out whatever the problem was once and for all.

Even though Clara knew that wouldn't be all. She needed to say yes. Once Elizabeth is settled and she buries her mum, she will find a way to pay back the credit union.

“Yes,” she mumbled softly. She couldn't believe Alex was about to give her another fifty million making it a hundred.

“Alright. You will have it first thing tomorrow morning, so no need to get a job then right?”

Clara knew the question was a trap, so she slightly nodded her head.

From there, they went to see some movies together and kept each other company.

Selene had told Elizabeth regardless that she was going to meet Annie. Elizabeth only advised her to be smart and careful when dealing with Annie.
