“She is not leaving, Mum,” Alex said.

Mrs. Peters’s indications wrinkled. They had just celebrated their victory and they were going to start this again?

“But Alex, remember that she cheated on you. This will bring shame to the Peters'. Think about your family.” Annie softly said to him, trying to remind him that Clara isn’t who he thinks.

“Alex, this is true. This woman has failed you and betrayed you. Why do you still want to keep her by your side?”

The more Alex kept listening to them, the more provoked he might become and might be tempted to chase her out.

They were right and he can only come up with another strategy. There was no way he could tell them that the marriage was a contract one.

“Mum, Annie can still stay here, okay? At least until I properly divorce Clara that is when she can leave.”
