Chapter 82

Alex blinked his eyes twice, he knew what Clara was talking about.

Slowly he asked her. “Selene?”

Clara wore a straight face. The thought of those still traumatized her. Even though their marriage is a contract, she still needed to hear from him, it might not change many things though.

Clara nodded.

Alex gulped and folded his lips. He placed his hand on his forehead and walked around a bit quickly.

When he returned and sat back, he grabbed her both hands. “You're gonna believe me if I say the truth, right?”

Clara nodded again, anxious to hear him already.

So Alex began to tell her some things. His expressions showed credibility and accountability. But from the way Clara nodded, it seemed she was blaming herself also.

“Are you trying to say that the herbs your mother brought weren't for the immune system but to make you want a woman?”

Alex nodded.

Clara felt all guilty. “I am so sorry for always feeding you that. I guess I fell prey to her plans.”

“It's not your fault, Clara.”
