"Is that the one you told me not to be too harsh on? The one I should eventually forgive?" Mila hissed at her friends. She could not decide if she was more angry or hurt after the phone call with Emma. "I fucking called her to tell her about an internship and she told me to block her, forget about her, and never call her again! Wow! I'm so done with her!"

"There must be something wrong, this can't be something she has done by her own will." Julie tried to defend Emma. She was not siding with Emma, but she saw how Emma looked at Mila, how she talked to her. You could never talk or look at someone the way Emma did and be rude and mean to them at the same time.

"You're giving me more reasons to hate her," Hannah muttered. "Julie, quit defending her. The girl is bad news, period."

"You can never be sure of that. They were friends for eleven years and now she suddenly became bad news?" Leila sided with Julie.

"People change," Hannah replied, shrugging.
