Chapter 23: A Date to Remember

Serene woke up early as the sun rise. It is not because she is excited, she just can't sleep properly the whole night. It keeps on whispering on her ear: the idea that Darrem actually likes her.

She cooked their breakfast, and kill her time reading the recipe book. Darrem who is as anticipated as Serene, just gargled his mouth wash and left his room.

He smiled as soon as he sees Serene.

“You're early,” he greeted and took an empty seat.

Serene was still nervous. Meeting his eyes, is a total torture to her heart. She wasn't high schooler to feel this kind of affection. She should manage this like an adult, but it was her first to receive a confession as straight as that.

“You want coffee?” she instead ask. She has to fix herself. She was hired to serve him, and not become comfortable around and got no use.
