62: I've always been obsessed with her

The day I’d make Hera absolutely fucking proud had finally come snd I wasn’t willing to ruin things for any reason. There was nothing I’d not down the day before to fully prepare myself to kill Layla with the poisoned knife. Even at our regular trainings, I’d been focused on perfecting my aim for stabbing right through a person’s heart on the first strike.

I had to get the first strike right, it’d be my only chance.

With that in mind, I’d set out with a determination to monitor every move of Layla’s so that I could dive in and kill her the minute there was an opening where I’d not be caught. To my displeasure, she always seemed to be in the company of her maid or her guard the entire time.

Morning had passed and I was still unable to get Layla alone to carry out the deed because her guard was still trailing closely behind her while she read in the private royal library. It’d have been the perfect spot to kill her since it was a location that was usually void of people.
