Chapter 16 Cheryl’s story

Barbara stared at him, he seemed extremely uncomfortable cause his hold on the coffee cup was too tight and his gaze was transfixed on the ground. Sometimes she did wish he could love her just as much as she was willing to love him, but she couldn't enforce herself on someone unwilling. She wasn't that desperate. Bracing herself for what he had to say, she cleared her throat.

"Night would fall soon, Liam, what is it you have to say to me?"

Liam raised his head slowly, trying to find the right words to say. "I really didn't mean for it to end this way Barbara. You are an awesome woman and I can't find it in myself to keep deceiving you. As much as you have shown me so much love…I can't reciprocate. I have loved a woman before and I still love her till now and coupled with the fact that she was with my child then. I can't bring myself to move on when I have no idea where my family is. Whether dead or alive, I can only find peace when I find out. Please forgive
